HR Generalist

Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and people-focused HR Generalist to support a wide range of human resources functions, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance for one of our clients in Fresno, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR questions and concerns
  • Support recruitment efforts including job postings, screening, and interviews
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and employee offboarding
  • Administer employee benefits programs and assist with enrollments
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy
  • Support performance management and employee development processes
  • Assist with employee relations issues, investigations, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Support training initiatives and company policies
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, and special projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of HR generalist experience
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Preferred Skills

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
  • Experience in a multi-state or fast-paced environment
  • Payroll or benefits administration experience
